This picture is an excellent portrayal of leading lines. Notice how the building's lines lead you down to the subject in the distance. Leading lines is a very good strategy to guide your eyes where the photographer wants them to go. As you can see in this photo your eyes immediately follow the lines to the subject even though it's in the distance.
